God leads us to make known the cross of Christ, through word and deed, always and everywhere.
God calls the church to the delicate art of discipline.
As God been gracious to us, we ought to be gracious to others.
A loving father provides godly discipline for his children. Paul provides fathers with a model of godly discipline.
It is important for Christians to be faithful in their dealings with others because our actions represent God whom we serve.
We ought to boast in what the Lord has done, not in what we have accomplished.

God does not promise freedom from suffering. He does promise His comfort in our suffering. When we experience the comfort of God, we should turn and comfort others.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are the Christian’s model for life and for ministry.
